The essence of a good holiday is having to do absolutely nothing at all.

No, no, no. I get bored having nothing to do. I like having the odd lazy moment in a holiday, but overall I'd far rather be pottering about than sitting doing nowt.
I'm not a believer in nothingness. Even if it's limited to quietly meditating on which bad decisions to make in the next year or so, I associate good holidaying with discovery borne of action.
