Tell: Name

Is there a name you like, but which you would never give to a child? What is it? Why do you like it? And, if you like it so much, why would you not bestow it upon your precious first-born?

I always liked the name Riley for a boy. I still do, but apparently they'd sound like a snooker club and so I don't think I will be allowed...

(Iain Broudie off of the Lightning Seeds' kid is called Riley and "The Life Of Riley" was written for him, fact fans)

Indiana Jones - I like it because it is provokes handsome associations (some would say Harrisonianly, others would speak of Fordism), but I wouldn't use it... Wouldn't wish to raise expectations or pressure around propensity to wear a hat.

Would just about be able to justify using Forest (as in the actor, Mr Whitaker). Very earthy (literally) and loaded with positive associations for me - the great outdoors, good health, good walks, wildlife, and hints of adventure.

The matter of having no plans to create new people would be something of an impediment though.
